Hello world!
Well yes, it’s about that time of the year where I die inside a little because I’m not at all the big musical festivals that are going on. Besides the amazing music, of course, I find such great fashion inspo from all the different style and outfits being worn. The best part about “festival fashion” is that there is no limit to how crazy your patterns are.. The bolder and brighter the better, it seems. It’s a bit of an excuse to be able to wear that outfit hiding in the back of your closet that you bought because it was “cute,” but haven’t found the opportune time to wear because it’s a little too crazy for everyday wear.
I decided to keep myself as busy as possible this week to make up for missing out on this! And what better way to distract yourself than to go to the heart of the city: LA. With one of my friends I haven’t seen in years visiting the city, it was perfect timing. Of course, I was absolutely delighted when she mentioned meeting at Grand Central Market — a place that I have been eyeing for months! Always down for a foodie adventure, that is exactly what I got.
I loved taking in all the sights and smells. The hustle and bustle of crowds. The delicious aroma of all the food being cooked. I even got to see a little fashion from the festival as this seemed to be the stop as people were heading home from Coachella. Oh, and in case you were wondering.. yes I did wait in line one hour for this place. I had heard so much about it and the name was just too good to pass up.
I couldn’t leave the city without stopping by my favorite coffee shop. Their drink flavors are quite unique and they offer so much more than your typical plain latte or capp. My only regret was getting a hot drink on such a sweltering day, as I love sticking to what I know I love. I had drink envy as I saw everyone sipping blended green tea … I will be back soon to try it.
Until next time, LA..
Xoxo,
Lena
