2017

Happy New Years loves!

December (my favorite month of the year) passed by quicker than a blink of the eye. Here I am back and ready in action to conquer 2017. I just know that this year will be a good one!  And I promise that I’m back and ready to blog post more than ever.

If you have kept up with my instagram at all you may have seen a few Disney posts. Even though December is “so yesterday” I definitely wanted to share my Disney Birthday experience last month. I got my pass for the very first time a few months ago, and I have definitely been making the most of it ever since. Every extra second that I have has been spent there (it’s definitely the best stress reliever after work with a quick trip..and no #notsponsored :P). They did such a good job at making me feel special on my entry way to the late 20’s.

If you go on your birthday, make sure to get the birthday Disney pin, which you can get at basically every store there. Every single person working there will pretty much be offering you birthday wishes all day long. Exhibit A: “Can I cross the street?” “Yes of course you… HAPPY BIRTHDAY.”

For someone who doesn’t like attention much *cough me* it’s actually pretty hilarious.

Also..the food is oh so amaaaaazing… I definitely have ate my fair share there. My favorite thing I’ve tasted were their seasonal peppermint beignets. SO SO GOOD! Pictured above are one of the about…5 I had that day. Diet fo whuttt?!

Here is the cheesiest goodness to be found in all of the magical land..the Croque Monsieur is more than enough to feed two people. It’s cut into four slices and I’m pretty sure that powdered sugar is the best thing to be sprinkled on top of a sandwich, ever. Who woulda thought?!

Of course it wouldn’t be complete without twirling around in Bug’s Land with characters on stilts! *Birthday Wishes!*

I hope you all had a wonderful New Years and here’s to looking forward to 2017!

Lena

communal coffee

Hello friends,

It seems as though some of my best weekends this summer were spent in San Diego. I’m so glad I have finally been able to spend a decent amount of time there as it really has been a while since I was last able to. Well, I thought summer was ending but thankfully the sun decided that is not the case. Oh no, I definitely felt its rays this weekend!

After many months of wanting to visit Communal Coffee in San Diego, I was finally able to. If this does not ring a bell, let me just say you might easily identify it by that “Coffee & Flowers” sign in large bold font plastered along the wall outside. Yes, the perfect photo opp.

And yes, I may have sprinted to it as soon as the couple enjoying their coffee date stood up from sitting directly in front of it. But hey, I wasn’t about to come all the way here JUST for some iced chai 😉 Although that iced chai was pretty darn good. They actually also had coffee flights which were such an amazing concept! Genius, really.

Every single corner screamed CUTE! I seriously get major home inspo from places like this, and Communal Coffee did not disappoint. A combination of flowers and plants and coffee… I really have no complaints there. There was a gift and flower shop indoors that shared the space with the coffee house, and a plant shop in the backyard.

I seriously have a love for coffee shops and discovering new ones. I really am going to have to think of a good name for this hobby of mine soon. Coffee-shop-exploring just doesn’t cut it.

Finally, I was left with some wise words escorting me to my car:

I appreciate that, Communal. And yes we are on a first name basis.

Until next time…
