succulent cafe

Hello my friends,

Well, the Holidays are officially in full swing! Thanksgiving weekend came and passed, and with that brought December into full swing (and possibly a few pounds from all that darn candied yams I had last weekend!).

Ahh, December. My favorite month of the whole year. Being a December baby, I always had so much to celebrate in this month in such a short span of time. You know that meme that’s floating around.. “I wish that someone would remember my December birthday?” Well yeah, but it’s hardly a price paid to be born in a month filled with hot cocoa and candy canes! Now I am starting to feel like Elf…

Anyways, this weekend I had the chance to finally go to the Succulent Cafe, a place that I have seen all over Instagram. Succulents and coffee are pretty much two of my favorite things…so I just knew that the combo had to be pretty magical.

Boy, did I walk into a magical kingdom of succulents! There were so, so many of them to walk around and see. There was a succulent Christmas tree and succulent ornaments, for crying out loud! Could nature get any more festive? I think not!

Hello my loves,

I’m so excited to share today’s post with you all! With summer rolling around and nothing but time on your hands (time, who has that these days?), I just know you are looking for a fun diy to inspire those creative juices in you! I had the privilege of being joined by one of my friends to be in this post and photos together. We had seen multiple types of flower crowns that seem to be all the rage right now, and who would blame anyone when they are just insanely cute?! Well, we decided that we should make some ourselves!

My friend is so great at putting things like this together without needing any instructions. We started out with lots and lots of flowers. I suppose you could almost say there was a little garden growing inside where we were creating.

The vines from the eucalyptus were what served as our “crown,” if you would like to call it that. We used crafting wire to fixate the flowers into place. I couldn’t be happier with the final product! Once placing the crown on your head, you can also push some extra flowers in to cover all the places that seem a bit empty or to be missing some flowers.

I suppose if you’re not living in the big city, you don’t have an excuse to prance around town wearing these brightly colored accessories. Nevertheless, we flaunted these masterpieces of ours as we went around town exploring. Don’t you worry, we did get a few questioning stares and looks.

I mean, how else would I have found a magical windy park in a scorching hot city? Or better yet, a tree that is covered in eyes? “Big Brother is Watching You.” 😉

Of course, I don’t believe there is such a thing as having too much fun, so fun is what was had.

As always, I had a wonderful day and I hope you enjoyed coming along on this adventure with me!

Until next time…

Lena
