summer time

Hi friends!

Summer is almost half over (which I CANNOT believe), and if you’re like me, it went by way too fast. With most of my trips happening in the fall, here are some ways to really enjoy your summer to the fullest:

1. Eat ice cream. And lots of it! I love celebrating all the fun foodie holidays that happen, and with National Ice Cream day last week, it was the perfect excuse. Throw an ice cream, eat a pint before that show you’re watching, however you prefer really!

What’s in my cone, you ask? Moose Tracks ice cream original flavor is the way to go. I got the original flavor which was super nostalgic with the perfect vanilla base mixed with chocolate!

2. Spend lots and lots of time soaking up the sun (with lots of sunscreen and a good book in hand of course). The beach, the pool, the park… enjoy that natural Vit D!

3. Go to a local winery or brewery. A lot of the times they’re super picturesque and a the wineries are a breath of fresh air. Yes I do like my grapes!

wedding season.

  Hello loves,

Sometime I blink and just like that it’s been a month. Fall is here, and with fall comes all the cozy feels…my favorite time of the year is quickly approaching. I can basically hear Christmas calling my name.

Anyways, I am getting ahead of myself. All I know is that I absolutely love family weddings for two reasons: I love adding people to my extremely large family, and it’s always the best reunion time! Weddings in this family seem to be a yearly occurring event.

Staying up until the crack of dawn, aka way too late and eating way too much food are just a few of the necessities of a perfect family reunion.

This past weekend, I got to celebrate the marriage of one of my cousins. It was such a beautiful wedding with such beautiful Pinteresty-vintage decor.

Mason jars were everywhere… And if you don’t already know, I LOVE mason jars. Actually love is an understatement. They are so versatile, practical, and cute!

It was so fun being a part of their big day, and it was so special to me to see my dad up there being a part of the ceremony.

I knew this was going to be an outdoor wedding at a winery in Fresno, CA, which is known to be hothothot! Thankfully, the clouds kicked in and the weather was simply perfect.

The dessert bar was my favorite part of the meal! There were beautiful glitter cupcakes… If I had to describe them I would say jam-filled butter-cream frosting goodness! My cousin made the most delicious sea salted brown butter cookies which I devoured! Let me tell you… And no I don’t want to talk about how many I had, that’s for me to know and you well uhh… to not know! 🙂

I hope your weekends were just as sweet!

Xoxo,

Lena
