Old Town Feels

Hello loves! Is it just me or are rustic places with that vintage look the absolute cutest? I’m not exactly sure how to pinpoint it, but what I do know is that there is something special about feeling like you’re a part of a place that has been around for longer than you have (aka a nice way of saying OLD!). All the memories that have been made there, the conversations and laughs that have been shared. It’s also interesting how you see things in a different light when you aren’t just briskly walking by, but actually take the time to enjoy beauty for what it is.

I also paired it with my Brandy Melville shorts which are super easy to dress up or down. They’re basically pajama shorts but socially acceptable to wear outside (phew!) and are a basic essential piece to have.

I finished this outfit with a white medium length crop top which has some detailing in the front. Gotta love those details..they keep things interesting. 🙂

Sometimes you just need to step away from the hustle and bustle of the city. I love taking that time to slow down… and I feel like that is exactly what most of my weekends consist of!

So… I may or may not have gone a little nuts inside of this beautiful new place that I have been wanting to go to see for quite some time.

Every single thing about the decor inside was perfect! From the chalkboard walls, to the sparkly lit patio to the picture perfect furniture… I can just go on and on.

Um, can I just move in? Okay maybe I’m being a little over-enthusiastic, but I truly enjoyed the atmosphere inside.

Yes, please. I think the pictures give you quite a good idea of what exactly was inside those great walls. And to think there’s more that I wasn’t able to capture on film!

Well the day was beautiful and I enjoyed taking the time to slow down and take all these sights in. I hope you enjoyed coming along on this journey with me. You were there in spirit, at least.

Join me next time too, yeah?

A Magical Day

Hello everyone! This weekend was one that I have been looking forward to for quite some time. As just about all of my best friends live in different states, it was quite the event that two of them decided to come into town at the same time! Of course it’s always a good time when we’re all together laughing about anything and everything. But it’s even better when you’re at one of the happiest places in the world…. Disneyland!11042044_10155257189925510_758496817_n

It had been a few years since I had last been there, and the anticipation was killing me for the past month. The day finally arrived! We woke up super early and got there at the crack of dawn… and this lovely site greeted me upon entering.

I think some of the cutest pictures are taken in front of this castle. Fun fact: at least one couple a day gets engaged at Disneyland!

We made sure to dress in our most comfortable clothes, so naturally that meant that all of us would match in our Chucks.

From white to teal to black, they were everywhere I looked. There were almost as many people wearing Minnie Mouse ears… just about, but not quite.

I absolutely love people-watching when I am in super dense people-packed places, so that is what I resorted to doing whenever we had our down-time to recover from all the walking we did! We made sure to grab a map of the park so that we wouldn’t miss any of the main attractions. Out of all the rides, the Indiana Jones ride was definitely my favorite this time around. Every time I go I seem to have a new favorite ride… which is okay with me!

Unknowingly, we probably chose the hottest day of the month to be outside, as it was about 88 degrees (aka scorching hot!). With the weather conditions the way they were and how early we had woken up, caffeine was a necessity. How cute are the Starbucks cups inside the park?!

Too cute.

Anyways, this drink definitely helped me recover from basically melting on a crazy hot day. After riding on our favorite rides twice, we were pretty exhausted. We stayed to watch the fireworks which really was the perfect ending to our night. We went out with a bang…ha ha… okay. Anyways, I miss it already and can’t wait to go back.

Until next time…
